in line with my new philosophical understanding, i have written a blatantly simple and straight to the point grunge number entitled "anxiety"
We want to
We want to
We want to
..........
Nothing in you
Nothing in me
Nothing in Truth
................
Answer Me
Answer You
Answer Fools
And everything has taught me how to be Human
All the truths have made me question "where are you goD?"
Everyone has taught me to be inhuman
I want the Truth, yet I don't want it "oh, where are you goD?"
Become You
Become Me
Be Nothing
..........
Chasing Truth
Being Loose
No excuse....
And everything has taught me how to be Human
All the truths have made me question "where are you goD?"
Everyone has taught me to be inhuman
I want the Truth, yet I don't want it "oh, where are you goD?"
And the Truth is true inside us
And the Truth is true inside us
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh

yes, the parallelism is there
the "Self-Actualization" stage is the highest in the pyramid.- here, for me, i see self-actualisation as species-actualisation when we all see the common ground of being man and start playing the common game of moral man
"If everything we need to survive is presented in a cheap way, such that everybody can afford it and can have it, we would have rise above the safety needs and go to the Self-Actualization.
Just look at how water has become cheaply available to most of us today. If majority of us can now have cheap, drinkable water, how hard is it to have cheap renewable energy? and renewable, passive income streams to support your immediate survival?"
i agree to this. thus a realization of mine is that those of us who have had an inkling into the real truth can help alleviate each other's 1st level pains in any small way that we can in daily life.
however, another problem in contemporary modern life is that we cannot see what our true wants as opposed to our needs is. this is socio-cultural with a lot of help from the capitalist system. hence our 1st elevl pains are compounded when we cannot obtain what we "must have".

"i had a development the next day. n i drew in the idea of1st level and 2nd level pain and how 1st level pain (which exists in the social realm) blinds us to the pursuit of conquering 2nd level pain which is the greater pain. i fear i cannot fully explain it here. it needs to be face to face and with diagrams."
Actually, I do have something to say which I neglected.
And you kinda reminded me about this with your passage above.
I don't get everything with the jargon, but when you talk about "levels",
I see some parallelism.
Remember Maslov's Hierarchy of Needs?
Now, Abraham Maslov only documented what he OBSERVES.
Many people treat it as a law or something. Now what many textbooks
forgot to reveal is that there is actually something above the "Self-Actualization"
stage. Most of the time, the "Self-Actualization" stage is the highest in the pyramid.
Anyhow. If you are stuck with an assignment due on Friday, you could not have
broken passed the perceived emergency and start to have your epiphany (FEELING).
You told me that. And at this stage, you had no pressing deadline to meet which gave
you the space to keep in that detached zone.
Hence, if you are stuck in the "pain of the social realm" like you coined it, on the Maslov Hierarchy of Needs, you are talking about the Social or Affiliation needs, which prevents you from going higher into the state which allows you to Self-Actualize and stay with that epiphany.
Am I getting what you are saying based on what I shared?
Wait...it gets better.
I know how to "Make It Happen"
Mark Joyner talks about Freedom Agents. For the world to be a better place, every one
must be free from their immediate survival, financial problems. When that is done, they can channel every energy to the more Self Actualizing efforts, or in this case, get the FEELING.
Before you think about having to first curb World Hunger, understand that we just need to hit a critical point of Freedom Agents before the world starts to breed more of the Agents.(boy...I'm getting close to Matrix stuff)
Do you know what that critical point is? Based on scientific studies, most of the time, a critical point is reached when a little over 4% is converted. Water starts to boil when just 4% of the molecules have enough energy to become gas. You will see some bubbles, rising from the bottom of the pot (4%)and suddenly it starts boiling.
If everything we need to survive is presented in a cheap way, such that everybody can afford it and can have it, we would have rise above the safety needs and go to the Self-Actualization.

"on another level, my fren and me are solidifying our ideas and we realise how we must touch on love. which is so nebulous and complex. and this is of atmost importance because many of us think we know what love is. love has been bastardised sadly."
James Arthur Ray has a very simple definition of love.
"When we love something, we are just giving our attention to it."
Where we place our attention, we love.
e.g. If all you think is how miserable you are, guess what, you fall in love with your misery.
Remember the first time you fall in love? Notice how consuming it is to keep think about that person all the time, having your attention attached to her?
Hence, LOVE = ATTENTION.

thank you for sparing this more thought
in a sense, i know it eats at you as it eats at me
i ve more or less understood the various different theories which you have shared with me and i see the differences and similarities
here are some of my responses to your questions/ worries
having acquired a little bit of the understanding and feeling my understanding, it is then true
. what can i do? what must i do? i honestly do not know. there are some many things which i can do to help others feel it for themselves. but likewise i can't. bcuz i m still bounded by my identity and its constraints in our world. which is very real. so i realise that i cannot be fully moral man, but now i ve also realised that most importantly i can act as don who has an insight into what it means to be a moral man. this means conducting my self without ever forgetting what it means to be a moral man.
i had a development the next day. n i drew in the idea of 1st level and 2nd level pain and how 1st level pain (which exists in the social realm) blinds us to the pursuit of conquering 2nd level pain which is the greater pain. i fear i cannot fully explain it here. it needs to be face to face and with diagrams.
let's think of a way to make this happen.

"People think they have found the Real Truth and then stop there. What they
actually found was the Truth that prevents them from experiencing the Real Truth,
as you mention. What you want to do, is humble yourself and realize that there will
be more truths reaching towards the Real Truth, and every time you made the discovery, it is just Truth. If you choose to just settle with Truth, there is no experiencing Real Truth."
i am so happy that you have typed this. i am happy to be sharing this journey with you whereby there are no experts, no masters, no superiority. only moral men
"You mention that it is the "Fleeting Anxiety" that cause this Real Truth
moment to be beautiful and rare and it is meant to end, or die down."
it is important that we choose to let it die down. remember that with regards to the real truth (or an inkling of the real truth), dying is the beauty. not only is it the beauty, it is the key. we must not be complacent or placated by that inkling, we must keep thinking, experiencing and keep being moral man.
i also like how you have brought in a new conceptual term: "Idea" (Not the same Thought). this is also where i bring in something new. when you were trying to understand, and you started paraphrasing and reconceptualizing, i felt that you too were trying to feel. but because you were not feeling (as of yet) you were unconsciously allowing more thinking to replace the gap left empty which otherwise would have been occupied with feeling. then and there i saw how postmodernists, existentialists and nihilists fell into the trappings of paraphrasing and reconceptualizing to the point whereby they started creating their own truths. i think the point is that we must always stay humble before the "expanse", embrace our "anxiety before the expanse" and never be too quick to think that we know.
on another note, have you read mcluhan yet?

Hey Don,
Here are my resources and thoughts on the epiphany
you shared with us during dinner.
Everything here comes from only 2 sources, James Arthur
Ray and Dr. John Demartini. Both are teachers featured in The Secret.
I prefer these two as most of their teachings are grounded. Having
said that, please form your own opinions and take everything with
a pinch of salt.
As far as what James says, the only construct that is relevant to your
model (truth-real truth) is the Thought-Feelings-Action construct. Everything
else he preaches is just a metaphor of his Thought-Feelings-Action construct.
Just different perspective of the same thing. This forms the references a person
needs to form a belief system to irrevocably practice the Thought-Feelings-Action
construct, IMHO.
1. Thought-Feelings-Action Construct (Going 3 for 3)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVC3fMSgbfo
Opinions: The Thought-Feelings-Action explained from the horse's mouth
2. Vertical Time Theory Part 1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qAX-5XRVx8
Vertical Time Theory Part 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGb5S4ZUyo4
Opinions: Although James tries to use Quantum Physics to support what he teaches,
it is questionable to me whether he understands it. In the Vertical Time Theory, I treat
it as a metaphor, rather than the truth.
3. Reticular Activiting System (RAS)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5vyLyFo77M
Opinions: This is one solid scientific argument.
There is such a thing known as RAS and he explains The Law of Attraction
this premise.
4. Wave-Particle Duality, Copenhagen Interpretation.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHKQWU0PTjw
Opinions: This video is a mix of James presentations. There is one section
where he talks about quantum physics. I disagree with his reasoning on wave/particle
manifestation and regard it as a metaphor for the Thought-Feelings-Action construct.
5. Practical Spirituality, James Arthur Ray (ebook attached)
Opinions: Very thought provoking.
6. My take.
Now, here are my opinions.
Remember when you quote:
"A Hungry Man Understands Truth In A Different Manner Than A Full Man"
When you look at it from the Thought-Feelings-Action model,
it makes sense. Why? Because the full man and hungry man
can both have the same Thought, but only the hungry man goes further
and develops the Feelings, which puts him in a better position
to Act. Hence, both will act differently in how they understand
the truth (which is also an Act)
The Full Man will have an intellectual understanding
The Hungry Man develops insights that can never be comprehended by the Full Man
Because the Hungry Man gets the visceral feeling from the thought.
Here is the problem.
If both of us share the same Thought, the Feeling will hit both of us too.
But the thought you shared with us was YOUR thought. My thought is an
interpretation of your thought. Hence, what I get is not so much of the Thought
that will give rise to the Feelings, but a separate Thought by itself, which I will call
the Idea (just to differentiate from Thought).
Until I can cultivate and hold my own thought, then only can I start to feel the epiphany
that hit you, that made you scared, and made you detached from your previous reality,
that there is no objective reality.
So,
Hungry Man : Thought & Feelings : Don
As opposed to...
Full Man : Idea (Not the same Thought) : Tian Yan
Thus brings us the question. How can you bring your epiphany (Feeling)
to others?
"A Hungry Man Understands Truth In A Different Manner Than A Full Man"
Remember ?
You can't be hungry for me or anyone else (FEEL). You can't help other feel what they
need to feel. I have to be hungry myself. But now, I'm full. And the only way I can
be hungry (FEEL), is for me to hold the thought that lead you to your feelings.
Only then, can I FEEL it and then ACT (or REACT) on it.
So when you shared your story, you didn't give me your thought, rather an idea which
consists of your thought and coloured by my own interpretation. For me to feel, I need
to go through the whole inquiry and thought process that set you on this path. Then I start
to get the same thought that you have, and hopefully feel the epiphany that hit you.
So now that you have Thought about it, and Felt it, how would you Act on it?
Would your Act be to share it with others and make them feel it too?
I don't think so.
I think you have already Act on it by reacting to your feelings.
e.g. feeling scared, and then being detached to your previous reality...
You mention that it is the "Fleeting Anxiety" that cause this Real Truth
moment to be beautiful and rare and it is meant to end, or die down.
I disagree.
You choose to let it die down. That is your Act.
Or you could choose to keep it alive in your actions and behaviours until
it becomes your reality. That is also another Act.
In any case, it reminded me of what John Demartini said.
It is somewhere in these videos

In James' words,
If you are not growing, you are dying.
So if you are full and contented with the "Truth", that is where you stop discovering truths,
and start to decline.
I have more stuff coming up, but will leave that for later.
Tell me what you think. I admit it is very crude.
Have An Optimal Day.
