Kafka- Investigations of a dog

Reading this on the way to the land of its author, I was struck by the apparent absurdity of the way in which the dog investigates, by how its rationality is bounded, by how it tries nobly but in vain to probe the meaning behind apparent truths by its quasi-scientific and rational methods. I witness the turmoil of the mind of the dog and how it embarks upon an interestingly (similar to Buddha's) path to reach a closer understanding of the truth.

Also, I am yet agian confornted by the quiet and content majority who are content to leave these important and seemingly unimportant questions unanswered.

Ultimately futile?...maybe.

Frustrating and lonely?...Yes.

Fruitful?....Undoubtedly Yes.
